At LBC, we continue to make conscious choices in the context of Corporate Social Responsibility and are committed to conducting our activities in order to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.
To this end, we are pleased to announce another milestone in greening the energy consumption at our LBC locations.
We are fully greening the electricity consumption at our terminal in Rotterdam and are switching to 100% wind energy. The total electricity consumption of the terminal is 5300 MWh, which is approximately equal to the annual average electricity consumption of 1700 households. The greening of LBC Rotterdam corresponds to the reduction of 2400 tons of CO2, which is almost 5% of the total CO2 emissions of all LBC terminals together on an annual basis.
