LBC appoints Chief Operating Officer

20 November 2017

It is with great pleasure that LBC announces the immediate appointment of John Grimes to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the LBC Group. As COO, John will be responsible for overseeing the global operations for LBC.

In addition to his responsibilities as COO, John will continue to execute his current role as Business President for the US Region operating as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. In the positon of COO, John will be responsible for the operational performance enhancements, operational optimization, operational standardization, OT and improvement of the cost structures of the terminals in close cooperation with the regional Directors and local Managers, as well as ensuring that all activities on all terminals meet with organizational and regulatory requirements such that there is no such thing as a dangerous product; at least not when under our care.

John originally joined LBC in 1998 and has more than 30 years of experience in the liquid bulk chemical storage industry. He has an impressive knowledge of construction and maintenance having been skillfully managing our facilities and expansion plans in the USA over the last years.

We believe that with his wealth of experience and skill base,  John is ideally suited to be our operational risk owner and that he will provide the necessary support to our organization to achieve our business strategy (build-out, further optimize and expand) and ensure a sustainable future for LBC and all our employees.

We wish John much success in his new role and am confident that with his support our local teams will be facilitated in achieving our objectives.
