LBC Houston has released a new video highlighting the progress of the Pit 5 Expansion project.
Phase 1 of the expansion includes the construction of nine new 100,000-bbl carbon steel internal floating roof tanks and two additional barge docks, significantly increasing storage capacity and marine access at the Houston terminal.
The expansion is designed for maximum operational flexibility, supporting vessel, barge, truck, rail and tank-to-tank transfers to enable seamless product movement. Each tank will be equipped with dedicated lines offering direct marine access for both barges and oceangoing vessels, complemented by multiple crossover lines to enhance operational flexibility.
The project is progressing as planned and remains on track for completion in Q2 2026.
