PURPOSE OF THE JOB AND ADDED VALUE
As a CS employee you form a fully-fledged note board for all internal and external customers, and you guarantee an optimal relationship between LBC and the customer. You represent the interests of all customers through planning coordination, follow-up.
You are an important link in the worldwide transport for customers and you bundle the services of various service providers. Besides that, you are responsible your own safety and environmental and quality awareness and acting within the frameworks set by management.
This entails the following tasks and responsibilities:
Communication with customers:
- Point of contact by phone or email
- Switch between customer and execution
- Proactively initiate internal communication with planning, customs and shipping.
Administration for customers:
- Order creation (trucks, railways, ships, transfers, …)
- Slot management and planning
- Create and provide all required documentation for shipments (COA, CMR, VGM, CIM, … )
- Custom formalities and declaration (excise, duties, transit, …)
Customer inventory management:
- Tank levels, profit/loss, corrections (reporting)
- Daily and interim reporting (movements, levels, …)
- Inventory of IBCs and Vessels
Account management:
- Creation and maintenance of Customer SOP and communication matrix
- Handling complaints or claims and initiate corrective actions
- Launch of new customers
- Reporting and KPI’s
- Organizing and maintaining customer visits, audits, QBR’s, …
Digitization and digital terminal:
- Promote and support self-service through the customer portal
- Evaluate current work tools and procedures (continuous improvement)
- Contribute actively to move towards a paperless environment
Quality and support:
- Communicating and monitoring tank availability: inspections, cleaning, technical problems, …
- Protect customer need in our organization
- Backup, support team members

The CS employee reports to the Manager Customer Service and does not provide leadership himself.
WHAT WE BELIEVE YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS HSSEQ ENGINEER
Professional education/experience and other requirements:
- Bachelor Logistics, forwarding or equivalent through relevant work experience
- 3 years’ experience in the domain of forwarding, logistics import or export, logistics file manager, internal sales
- Basic customs formalities
- Handling customer file from A-Z
- Languages: Dutch, English
- Knowledge of MS Office
- VCA-VOL
