PURPOSE OF THE JOB AND ADDED VALUE

The Customs Coordinator is responsible for the correct and timely handling of all customs declarations of LBC Rotterdam B.V. This also includes the administrative processing of these, in accordance with the applicable legislation and regulations (AEO).

The Customs Coordinator acts as a customs advisor for both internal and external stakeholders and reports to the CS Manager Rotterdam.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Daily control of all incoming and outgoing customs documentation;
  • Application, maintenance and management of customers permits;
  • Identifying compliance risks and taking actions to mitigate them to a minimum;
  • Providing support and sharing knowledge with regard to Customs regulations within: organization (operational, commercial, management);
  • Conducting audits within the organization, registration in the regard, and advising management on the Customs compliance of the organization;
  • Administrative processing of AEO requirements of the organization;
  • Single point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.

WHAT WE BELIEVE YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS CUSTOMS COORDINATOR

Professional education/experience and other requirements:

  • Customs declarant vocational training (required);
  • Coordinator Customs & Trade Compliance / Manager Customs & Trade Affairs (evofenedex) or demonstratable level of thinking;
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position;
  • Preferably experience with liquid bulk cargo;
  • Experience with both warehouse and excise administration;
  • Up to date knowledge of European Legislation and National AEO legislation.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Warehouse Management Systems, and declaration software;

REMUNERATION

  • Competitive salary dependent on experience;
  • Pension based on an average pay scheme;
